The Allure of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world. Owned and operated by Royal Caribbean International, the Oasis-class cruise ship was launched in November 2009 after 19 months of construction and had its maiden voyage a year later in December 2010. The Allure has a length of 362 m (1,187 ft) and a height of 72m (236 ft) above water line with a gross tonnage of 225,282 – although the Allure was built to the same specifications as her sister ship Oasis of the Seas, it is actually 50 mm (2 in) longer. The Allure has a total occupancy of 6,410 across 16 guest decks (of a total 18 decks) and has an international crew of 2,384. The ship is powered by four bow thrusters which each have a horsepower of 7,500.
