Born on September 27th, 1972, Jafal Rashed Al-Kuwari is a former captain of Qatar. Though standing just 5 feet 1 inch tall, Jafal had a distinguished career, and he was a midfielder for Qatar’s most successful club, Al Sadd SC from 1990 to 2009 at senior level. He began his youth career at the same club in 1985. Jafal then went on to become a manager of the club after his retirement in 2009, which came after a game against AC Milan. Jafal represented his national side 51 times from 1992 to 2002, and he played in the 1992 Olympics with his brother Fahad Rashed Al-Kuwari. Though he is retired from professional football, Jafal still plays beach football for his national side.
