Most goalkeepers are tall, but Belgian Kristof Van Hout is a giant. Born on February 9th, 1987, Van Hout has played for the likes of Standard Liege, and also won a Belgian Cup winner’s medal while he was with Genk in 2012-13. Standing at 6 feet 10 inches tall, Van Hout is so huge that he often just stands in his penalty area when dealing with corners. Alongside Van Hout as the tallest footballer in the modern game is striker Paul Millar, who used to play for Scottish club Elgin City. At 6 feet 10 inches tall, and the ideal target man, the Scottish forward’s height became so problematic that the Elgin City club entrance had to be altered just for him.
