The Reticulated Python is a tropical snake that can be found in the rainforest environments of Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. Needing to consume vast amounts of water, these snakes usually inhabit area’s close to lakes or streams. The Reticulated Python, has a netlike pattern and grows on average to between 16ft and 25ft in length, and up to 350 pounds in weight. Unlike most other reptiles, the Reticulated Python is sexually dimorphic, which means the females grow longer and are heavier than the males. The longest of these tropical snakes, resided until its death at Pittsburgh zoo in the US and was 28.5ft in length.
