The smallest of the grand and mighty dinosaurs is called the Compsognathus. Believe it or not the dinosaur was the size of a modern day turkey. The chicken sized dinosaur was believed to exist almost 150 million years ago during the Jurassic period. The species is said to have weighed almost two kilograms.
So what did a small dinosaur eat? It is quite evident that the dinosaur used to feed on small agile lizards. They had small fore limbs, large hind limbs and a long tail to help them balance while moving. They had small but sharp teeth which was appropriate for their diet mainly composed of small vertebrates and possibly insects.
